Well, the hours are winding down on my big summer vacation. Can't complain too much - the weather was pretty good - great this weekend, in fact - and I got a lot of hang time with my pups. This afternoon I'm going to a birthday party for twin five-year-olds (one of which is my godson) and tonight I have Woods rehearsal, and then it's back to work tomorrow. And, God, do I have a lot to do when I get back.
One recommendation from my week off is the book The Wonder Spot by Melissa Bank (Or is it Banks? I'm too lazy to go in the other room and check. Same chick who wrote The Girls' Guide to Hunting and Fishing.). Anyway, it was a really good book. I flew through several books this week, and that was the best one, by far.

I love Melissa Bank. I've read and listened to the Girls Guide to Hunting & Fishing so many times, I've meorized it. The Wonder Spot was good, too, but it was exactly like her first book. I liked it because I liked the first one but I wonder how it did and if she got bad reviews because the two books were so similar. I hope she keeps writing. She's hilarious. You should listen to her audio books. She reads them herself and she has an awesome, dry, funny voice. She totally owned the voice of Jane and she did a great job as Sophie, too.
